FACEBOOK RELEASES HD VIDEO

"Chris Putnam, software engineer at Facebook who runs the video team, talks about its new HD video feature. He also tells me about how he got his job at Facebook, which is quite interesting because it wasn't with a traditional interview."
In brief: Facebook HD is here, now. And very soon you'll be able to share/embed FB video OUTSIDE of Facebook. That's right...the garden wall is coming down. (Though vids embedded outside of FB will not be HD). Sweeeet. Still no stats in FB though...
UPDATE: Scoble reports on an HD war launched tonight between YouTube and FB. YouTube has (maybe?) turned on HD...read techcrunch story here.
